Eliza Zanuso joined Bellingen Shire Youth Services in 2015 as a Youth Caseworker. She has a BA in Community Development, post graduate qualifications in Adolescent Counselling, and is currently undertaking a MA in Social Work. Eliza has over ten years experience in the social and community sector working in a range of practice settings including international development, community education, emergency relief, alternative school settings and asylum seeker support services. She is passionate about working in a way that is trauma-informed and values strengths based, participatory and anti-oppressive practices. Eliza is a true nature lover and enjoys cooking, advocating on social and environmental issues, and hiking adventures.
Magdalena Pomroy has been working at Bellingen Shire Youth Services as a Youth Caseworker since 2013. She has a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Counselling and background in telephone counselling, mental health, and youth support work. Magda developed Kitchen Connections, BSYS’s longest running program which is now incorportated into the local High School curriculum and fully supported by local business. Magda is a passionate youth advocate who believes strongly in person-centred collaborative approaches to working with young people. When Magda is not at work, she loves cooking and being close to the ocean with her family.
